WORKING GROUP MEETING OF AQUATIC BIODIVERSITY CONA

           
          On Friday July 23, was put into effect the meeting of the National Oceanographic Committee (CONA) working group: " On Aquatic Biodiversity” (GT.BIODIV-CONA) in units of the National Commission of Environment (CONAMA), Santiago. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Pedro BÁEZ R., from the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) was attended by professionals from the Andrés Bello University (UNAB) from the Pontiff Catholic University of Valparaiso (PUCV), Pontifif Catholic University of Chile (PUCCH), University of Valparaíso (UV), CONAMA and the MNHN. Also attended with the presence of the Executive Secretary of CONA, Captain. Fernando MINGRAM L.

          The meeting was conducted according to the agenda which considered the following points: Current status of the Book "Bibliography on aquatic biodiversity of Chile" as a contribution to Bicentennial activities of the nation and review of work performed during May to July and programming Working Group's activities for the year 2011. Also, as is usual, had an exhibition, which this time was conducted by Dr. Matilde Lopez from University of Chile on "Aspects Ecological and Economic Aspects about the Cross-Border Basin of Lauca River 18 ° to 19 ° South Latitude".
