WITH 124 ° MEETING THE ASSEMBLY ENDED FIRST PERIOD SESSIONS OF NATIONAL OCEANOGRAPHIC COMMITTEE (CONA)

           
          According to the annual National Oceanographic Committee (CONA) on Friday May 28 was put into effect the 124th Session of the Assembly, chaired by Director of the Hydrographic and Naval Oceanographic (SHOA) in his capacity as Chairman of Committee, Captain Patricio CARRASCO H. , which culminates the first period session of the year.

          The meeting was attended by representatives of the 29 national institutions that make up the Committee of Presidents of 9 Working Groups, the Executive Secretary of CONA, Captain Fernando. MINGRAM L , and the Technical and Scientific Advisory of Committee. Also attended as special guests the representative of CIMAR Program, and the representative of National Wetlands Committee.

          After giving a warm welcome to attendees, Mr. President of CONA started the session according to the Agenda, recorded as main themes, the report of activities made by the Executive Secretariat in the period 14 November 2009 to May 27, 2010, the report of development activities of each Working Group reports Visiting Committee and the report on the current state of the magazine "Science and Technology of the Sea." The session ended with a presentation on the activities undertaken within the Programme CIMAR. Given the close link with this program, the Chief of Operations Department of SHOA , Lieutenant Don Andres ENRIQUEZ O., who reported about the status of the AGOR "Vidal Gormaz" and the current conditions of AGS "Cape Horn".
