On Friday, January 8th the Director of SHOA, Captain Mariano ROJAS B., accompanied by Subrogating Deputy Director, Lieutenant Commander Miguel VÁSQUEZ A. received a courtesy visit of members of the Board of Directors of the Navy Civil Employee Club “Ricardo Prat Chacón” headed by Mr. José RIQUELME S.

On the occasion, Mr. RIQUELME, gave his regards to Mr. Director on behalf of every member and briefly referred to the history of the Club, remembering his founder, the youngest brother of the Hero of Iquique, Mr. Ricardo Prat Chacón, who in 1915 founded a Protection Society still in existence today, after 95 years. In addition, he mentioned some of the most distinguished Civil Employees of the Navy, who had occupied important positions inside the Institution. 

Mr. Director expressed his gratitude for the visit, indicating the work developed by SHOA and how important it is for the naval personnel to know the Service, where many civil professional people work, and who due to their job, have to represent the country in front of foreign agencies and institutions. Likewise, he gladly welcomed the request made by Mr. Riquelme, to schedule a future visit of member to SHOA.
