CHILEAN NAVY HYDROGRAPHIC AND OCEANOGRAPHIC SERVICE

The Farewell Ceremony for Personnel doing transshipment and for personnel going into retirement took place in the Yard of Honor of the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy (SHOA) on December 9th. The ceremony was presided over by the Director of the Service Mr. Patricio Carrasco.

After handing them out presents to those leaving the Service, the Director acknowledged the work and commitment of all those who have been part of the SHOA and that today come to the end of a stage in their professional and personal lives. "On behalf of all those who are part of the Service this year, I would like to thank those on transshipment and or are leaving the Service, for your commitment, devotion, responsibility and for your contribution to the Service, and the Army, and to my term as Director, which has been focused on making this Service proud".

Finally, Rear admiral Carrasco urged them to continue being ambassadors of the SHOA, and show the great work that it performs. "There are a lot of people that do not know us… tell them, invite them and show them what we do and how important this department is for the institution, for the country, and what it means to be part of it".
